Description
The Appraisal Coordinator is responsible for managing vendor relations, tracking
outstanding orders, delivery of final product; handling disputes and inquiries.  This
position specifically handles exceptions items that are 1-3 days old/or escalated items
referred by Customer Care to the escalation team. Responsibilities include: Managing
appraisers to ensure timely report delivery, Answering incoming calls from customers and
making outbound calls to vendors, connecting appriasers with borrowers to setup
inspection appointments, Maintaining effective notes within orders and updating customers
as to the status of their orders, Investigating appraisal orders to see how they can be
pushed through the process, Developing relationships with appraisers to build a rapport,
monitor team email boxes for receipt of update requests and respond to those requests and
meeting turn time deadlines by managin appraiser vendors effectively

Working hours: 8am-5pm

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience
6 months - 1yr related experience in the real estate lending or appraisal/title industry
is required.  Experience must include exposure to appraisals, abstracts, customer service
and experience dealing with internal and external customers in both positive and
difficult situations.

Problem Solving/Analytical Skills
Effective problem solving/analytical ability required in business relationships with
vendors, customers, attorneys, staff, and home office staff.

Communication Skills   
Strong and effective oral and written communication and listening skills.
Excellent phone and interpersonal skills used appropriately in dealing with customers,
managers, co-workers, home office staff and other field employees.

Interpersonal Skills
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with people in a customer service capacity.
Ability to maintain lasting business relationships.-

Leadership Skills
Basic ability to train, motivate and be proactive.

Office Equipment/Machines
Knowledge of PC hardware and software.
Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines.

Physical Demand
Mental/visual stress e.g., dealing with a high volume of calls, lifting heavy boxes,
standing for extended period of time, walking for extended period of time, eye strain
from extended use of computer, difficult/angry customers, driving, etc.

Eye strain from continual use of computer screens.
Constant use of phone.
Ability to sit for extended period of time.

Additional Requirements/Skills
Must be flexible and able to work overtime to provide maximum support on a regular and
as-needed basis.
Basic mathematical ability required.
The ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail.
