We are looking for recent college grads or students
taking a semester off who want to work at a
prestigious downtown company to make money and gain
experience. We are a staffing company and this a
contract position only.
Our team within PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP generates
the tax information packages for over a million
partners of publicly traded partnerships. Because each
partnership closes its 2006 books on December 31 and
its partners expect to receive their tax information
by March 15, we have a significant spike in our
workload between January 2 and mid-March with some
staying on through April 15th. We are looking for 10
hard-working, quick-learning people to be temporary
staff members. Because of the workload, the positions
all request overtime availability - up to a 60 hour
work week in January and 80 hour work weeks in
February. The pay is $15.50/hr for 40 hours a week.
Any hours after that will be paid $23.25.
The duties of the position include completing database
processing steps from a manual, performing
mathematical calculations to verify reports' accuracy,
reconciling output reports for compliance, entering
data, and proofreading web and print products for
accuracy. Although software programs like Windows,
Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, and Paint Shop
Pro are used and experience with Windows and Excel
will prove particularly useful on this assignment, the
majority of the work is completed using our group's
proprietary software product, PARSPlus.
After mid -March, the position could transition into
that of a call center. Answering phones and using the
proprietary software product, PARSPlus, to make
updates based on phone calls from the investors. At
this point, a strong work ethic and agility to learn
the program will be used in evaluating those staff to
stay on through April 15th.
