-Full general ledger responsibilities for locations in Malta, NY, Calhoun, GA, and
Couvet, Switzerland
-Monthly closing schedule for all locations and finance subsidiaries
-Provide financial statements - reporting
-Variance analysis
-Assist with cash management and forecasting
-Communicating with banks and understand foreign currency exchange
-Credit and collections and other accounts receivable needs
-General tax filing/reporting
-Assist in the preparation and creation of the annual operating budget
-This position will have a direct impact on external reporting to banks and government
authorities to reflect the accurate financial condition company
-This position is responsible for the interpretation and reporting of general accounting
information to appraise the operating results of the company
-All facets of accounts payables including vouchering, cash disbursements and 1099's.
-All facets of payroll and W2 filings.
-Annual audits
Working hours: 8am-5pm
Strong knowledge of GAAP concepts, with a minimum of three to five years experience in
General, Financial, and Tax Accounting in a manufacturing environment with good knowledge
of all other areas of Finance and Accounting.
The Staff Accountant ensures that all general accounting functions are performed in an
accurate and timely manner. The Staff Accountant will
assist the Controller in preparation, analysis, reconciliation and distribution of all
monthly financial reports. The Staff Accountant records and analyzes the financial
assets and liabilities of company.
The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the Finance Department, reporting directly to
the Controller and will assist in training and direction of departmental activities. The
Staff Accountant will have direct responsibility for the accounting processing clerks,
their training, and production to secure all schedule needs are met. This position
requires contact with both domestic and European operations areas, consulting with
employees from various departments to solve problems and provide real time financial
information.
